Brilliant night

This week we were lucky enough to be given a tour of the Avon and Somerset Mounted Police section at their Headquarters.

What an amazing place! The tack room has an amazing array of tack, from very old ceremonial bridles that are still in use today, to leg boots with knee pads attached, head guards and visors to protect the horses during raids.

The horses were obviously wonderful and unfazed by us disturbing their evening routine (even the lasted addition, who had only recently arrived for a months trial to test his potential).

"Mike" (the Police Horse not our beloved Chairman) definitely gave us the "is this the best you've got?" look when faced with a large waving flag and a Pilates ball being bounced at him as part of the demonstration, what a privilege it was to see him doing his thing- I think he secretly enjoyed pushing the officer out of the way when asked to
