CALLING ALL CAMPERS?

 I can now confirm details of this year’s Spring Camp are as follows:

 Pontispool Equestrian Centre Taunton

on 19^th to 21^st April 2013

Members will be permitted to arrive at 4pm to enable unloading and unpacking in the light. Some of you may be able to sneak in a quick ride too.

All the facilities at Pontispool (2x all weather arenas, cross country course, stables, tack rooms, port cabins and showers) have been booked for Riding Club. All meals for the weekend are included. Friday supper (at 20.00 hours) to Sunday lunch are provided. Meals for day visitors are £7.50 and are to be booked in advance.

Instruction:

We have chosen 4 amazing instructors for the weekend (I know you are eager to know who they are so….):

Claire Loney, Ben Greenwood, Becky Fryer and Erica Oldham will be with us for the duration.

Normal camp format is 2 x 1.5 hours instruction a day. Over the weekend you will have one each flatwork and SJ session, 2 x XC sessions.  I’m hoping the camp will be full so that everyone can have sessions with more than one instructor.  Should you not want to take part in a particular discipline, please make me aware of this so I can try and accommodate another session. However I make no promises.

STABLING: Straw and hay are provided for the duration of your stay; please be sensible with the amount of bedding and use your own hay for your journey home.  No haylage is available. If you use shavings, please bring your own as none are available at Pontispool.

(Please make me aware as some stable down there already have shavings in so I can allocate you to those ones.

ACCOMMODATION: in heated cabins of various sizes, which sleep between 3 – 6 people. Cabins contain bunk beds and single beds. Please bring bedding or a sleeping bag, including pillows.

COST – £170 to include all meals, tuition and full use of facilities. £75 for non-riders

The New Part:-

Over the weekend that will be filled with fun and laughter your instructors will be looking to nominate you for awards.

Awards will be given for: -

• Most improved rider per group
• Team Player (someone who helps others)
• Fear Factor Resolved (someone who has overcome a personal fear)
• Tumble Club Leader.

There will be a BMRC Tumble board in the Cafe area and each tumbler will be put on the board, a prize will go out to the top tumbler!!! I’m sure to get this!!

PAYMENT AND BOOKING:

Camp booking forms will go on the website for you all to download from the 1^st April. Bookings will be 1^st come, 1^st placed. Bookings are only confirmed with CLEARED payment. We do accept BACS payments for all that want to secure places at the time of sending.
