Afternoon with Ann Dunham

Anne Dunham has very kindly offered to share her extraordinary achievements with us. Anne needs no introduction as Paralympics gold medal-winning rider named The Sunday Times disabled sportswoman of the year. However, many of you may not know that Anne is Amber’s mum. Amber is regularly seen at clinics, sometimes riding her mum’s gold medal winning ride Teddy, owned by Garry and Sally-Ann Brown.

In September, Anne was a member of the winning team at the European Para Equestrian Dressage Championships in Belgium, where she also won two individual golds. On receiving her award she said “It was a big shock and a great honour. But it’s not just great for me, it’s brilliant for para dressage and equestrianism as whole, especially when [equestrian] sport wasn’t recognised in the recent BBC Sports Personality of the Year nominations.”

Anne is an inspiration to us all and has very kindly agreed to talk to us about her experience as an elite rider and about her journey towards the 2012 Olympics. Plus a demonstration with her new fantastic horse.

Programme is planned to be 2.30 -3.30 Anne to share her experience and achievements followed by a riding Demo on her new horse Lucas Newmark from 3.30 – 4.30 and then closing from 4.30 -5pm with Q&A’s, Tea, Coffee & fantastic home baking.

The demo will take place at Caron Roberts Equestrian, Lanes Farm, Wootton Bassett, SN4 7SA.

Tickets £5 for SDRC members, £7 for non-members.
